Rene Valentine began clogging in 1983 when her grandmother, a clogger from Florida, introduced her to the art. She started dancing with the Monmouth Clogging Express, (formerly Monmouth Country Cloggers) and became their instructor in 1987. She is currently the director/instructor of the Crystal Cloggers of Edison, NJ.

She has attended various clogging workshops and the CLOG National Clogging Convention for many years.

While not clogging, Rene is working on her master’s degree in learning disabilities.

She is currently working on her CLOG Certified Clogging Instructor program.
